Silver Falls Sunday 2026

On Sunday, August 23rd, our church service will not be held in our usual location at the Boys and Girls Club, but up at Silver Falls State Park. We will meet at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Shelter for our worship service, after which we will share lunch together (the church will provide the main course). You are invited to stay for the day after that. We will have some games and activities, and you will have a chance to hike to the falls as well. At the close of the day, we will gather again for a hot dog dinner and a hymn sing.

Please note that it is $10 for a day pass to the park. If cost is an issue, please reach out and let us know. We'd be glad to help.

What to bring:

A side dish to share for lunch

A chair or blanket to sit on

Yard games to play in the afternoon

A water bottle and any other supplies you might want for the day

Our basic schedule for the day:

11:00 AM-12:00 PM - Worship Service

12:00-1:00 PM - Lunch

1:00-5:00 PM - Afternoon Activities and Free Time

5:00-6:00 PM - Hot Dogs & Hymns

You can see the location of the Evergreen Shelter in the picture below. Park near the south falls entrance, then walk across the bridge over the creek to the Evergreen Shelter.
