Safe Families for Children

Peace Bible Church is glad to partner with Safe Families for Children in the Mid-Willamette Valley to provide compassionate, sacrificial, loving care to families and children in crisis. Safe Families provides the support that families need to stay together and supported during difficult times.

"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families...' (Psalm 68:5-6, NIV)

There are a variety of ways to serve in this ministry. Safe Families volunteers serve as host homes for children, mentors/friends for parents, and resource providers. 

Since beginning our partnership with Safe Families, Peace Bible Church members have ministered in a variety of areas. Here are a few examples:

• Welcoming in a little girl whose family had been living in their car
• Providing day hosting for young children while their mother sought support for a mental health crisis
• Hosting a toddler boy overnight while his father attended a recovery retreat
• Taking a little girl and her mother trick-or-treating for the very first time, while they were experiencing homelessness
• Providing transportation for children to and from school while their mother was hospitalized
