Children's Ministry at Peace Bible Church

  “Give ear, O my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the words of my mouth! We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.” 

(Psalm 78:1, 4)

“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” 

(2 Timothy 3:14-15)

Peace Bible Church’s vision for our children’s ministry is to bring children to Christ, build them in their spiritual maturity, and equip them for lives of service in the church, community, and world.

We have Sunday School classes for kids every week at 9:15 AM, in the upstairs classrooms at the Boys and Girls Club. Classes will end before our morning worship service, so parents and kids can attend church together. Our elementary-aged Sunday School classes are currently using The New City Catechism Curriculum.

During the worship service, we have two rooms available for preschool age kids. Our toddler room is staffed with helpers and provides a basic classroom-like setting for competent walkers (through preschool) who are not yet ready to sit through the whole service. We also have a nursery for babies and little ones not yet ready for the class. Each room is staffed with caring volunteers.

We intentionally invite children to be part of our Sunday gathering in order to grow in the discipline of participating in the local church. There are clipboards available by the info table that contain activity sheets that we hope will help children to follow along and engage with the worship service.

At Peace Bible Church, we are committed to the following guiding principles for our children's ministry:

• We will maintain a safe and secure environment for all children who come to the church. All volunteers and staff responsible for supervising children are background checked before beginning service.
• We will support and encourage parents in their role as the primary influencers of their children. 
• We will teach the Scriptures to children through our various ministries.
• We will provide children with adult workers who live faithfully as Christian role models.
• We will uphold high ethical standards in order to protect children and to be consistent with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
