We meet for worship every Sunday at 10:00 AM at the Boys and Girls Club (located at 1395 Summer Street). Follow the sidewalk toward the doors to the gym. Read below for more information regarding what to expect, and feel free to use our contact form to let us know if you're planning to visit.
- What should I wear? Feel free to come dressed how you would like. Most people will be dressed relatively casually for our Sunday gatherings, but if you would like to dress up more, that is welcome too.
- What are the services like? At our services, we hear the Scriptures read, sing songs, offer prayers, listen to a sermon (usually 35-45 minutes in length), and take communion together. The entire service will typically be around 75-85 minutes long. As a visitor, you will not be put on the spot to introduce yourself or anything like that. Feel free to come and observe, and participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
- What is there for kids? Children are loved at Peace Bible Church, and are welcome to join us in our worship services. During the service, we provide a nursery for babies and preschoolers, and parents are free to drop children off there if they'd like. School age children and up can sit in the worship service (and it's okay if they're a bit fidgety or noisy sometimes!). There are clipboards with coloring sheets and activities available for all kids. We also offer children's Sunday School classes before the morning service.
- Is there anything other than the kids' Sunday School class before the worship service? We have a prayer meeting each week at 9:15 AM, just before the morning worship service. The prayer meeting meets in the Teen Center area of the Boys and Girls Club. All are welcome to come, and you will not be pressured to pray out loud, though you may volunteer to do so.
- What do you do after the service is over? On the first Sunday of each month, we offer a fellowship meal after the service. On all other Sundays, we offer light refreshments after the service. Please feel free to stay around to share in the meal or refreshments and to get to know others. We believe that spending even ten minutes after the worship service each week can have wide-ranging positive effects on someone's church experience.
- Where do I park? You may park in the Boys and Girls Club parking lot, but it is small and can fill up fast. There is also a loading zone in front of the club on Summer Street, and although it says 15 minute limit, it does not apply on Sundays and so you may park there. You may also park nearby at Eyecare Center of Salem (1415 Capitol Street). You may also use whatever street parking is available nearby, though we ask you to be courteous to our neighbors. Please do not park at the Seventh Day Adventist Church across the street. See map below.
